Description:  

 

“If you have found this place you have found our hearts”.

 

The best, most popular half-day trip in the area is a short, steep pull with a touch of scrambling onto a rocky ridge.  It’s not the top f anything, rather the dramatic south end of the Willow Creek Hills come to a full stop above Willow Creek Bridge.  Naturally, it’s an irresistible attraction to campers from nearby Indian Graves who once upon a time would hop across Willow Creek and scramble up the west face,

•  Carpooling:  Use at your own discretion and what you are comfortable with.

•  Washrooms may not be available - please be prepared to pack out what you bring in, such as

   Toilet paper, etc.

•  Please make yourself aware of the risks in participating in this sort of event and decide

   accordingly.

•  Don`t forget the usual items; bear spray, proper clothing, water, food, equipment and first aid kit.

•  Trip participants are asked to provide their cell contact information and emergency contact

    information to the trip coordinator, prior to, due to the 'meet at trail head' requirement.

•  Please do not sign up if you are experiencing any flu like, cold, or Covid19 symptoms.

 

Hiking Distance:                  12 Kilometers Return / 3 to 4 Hours

Elevation Gain:                    168 Meters / 550 Feet

High Point:                           1731 Meters / 5350 Feet

Travel Distance:                  110 Kilometers One Way / 1 Hour and 30 Minutes

                                          10 Kilometers on a Gravel Road

Difficulty Level:                   Moderate

 

Rendezvous Point:  Heritage Park, 2nd left entrance, beneath the Big Brown H. Please arrive 15 minutes so carpooling arrangements can be made, as we will be leaving at 8:00 a.m. sharp.

Please Note:  No Pets Will be Allowed.  

 

Guest Policy:  The Club is currently discouraging guests of a member attending an event at this time.

Please Note:  A minimum of 4 members are required for event to go ahead as scheduled

 

Please ensure that you have purchased your Kananaskis Conservation Pass in advance.

Refunds may be considered in extenuating circumstances, if there is no cost to the Club, or if the event is full and another member fills your spot. A $25.00 fee will apply. Inform your event host, and treasurer@calgaryskiclub.org as soon as possible.
Please arrange appropriate cancellation insurance.
