This meeting is the next step in planning extended events for the next year (until May 2024.) If you want to host an event or learn what is involved, read on.
We are following a different process this year. Rather than hosting a meeting to fill every weekend with an extended trip or event, we are taking a more structured approach.
Step one was our recent member survey asking where you wanted to go this upcoming season. While it focused on Cross Country and Downhill skiing, there is also room for summer/fall events. Events with more robust results on the survey will get priority in terms of dates etc.
Step two. This meeting. We will discuss the process of hosting an event and what all that entails. We will touch on co-hosting events or working with a mentor to host an event.
If you are interested in hosting an event but unsure, please feel free to attend and ask questions. If you cannot attend, but want to host an event, please complete and submit an Event Proposal form - see Step three below.
Step Three. Complete and submit the Event Proposal form for the event you want to lead. It is very straightforward. You may submit this before May 10th as well. Note that we already have some commitments on our calendar as we had to book very early for some venues.

Step Four Once event ideas are submitted, a small committee will try to prioritize and fit everything onto our calendar. Events will be approved in principle, and you will then start the detailed planning. Placeholders will be set up on the Events Page.
Step Five. Start working on your event - arranging hotels, scheduling for buses, preparing a budget and submitting it for final approval and subsidy.
