Located on pristine Emerald Lake in beautiful Yoho National Park, the Lodge has century old fireplaces and an oak bar salvaged from a 1890's saloon. Disconnect from your life and reconnect with nature and your friends. Emerald Lake Lodge is an electronics-lite experience with WIFI only available in the main lodge, limited cell reception and no televisions in rooms. Immerse yourself in the peace and tranquility of nature. Come for a cross-country ski, a snowshoe or just to relax and enjoy the view. 

Itinerary
Wednesday, March 13th, 2024

Self-drive to Emerald Lake Lodge - check in after 4:00 p.m. For those interested, we will meet in Lake Louise around noon, then go for a ski/snowshoe, before proceeding to the Lodge to check in. Dinner on your own - at the Lodge (reservation necessary) or in Field or Lake Louise.

Thursday, March 14th, 2024

Your breakfast is included. We will meet in the lobby at 10:00 a.m. after breakfast, ready to go play in the snow. If you ordered a lunch, pick up the bag lunch before.  Dinner in the lodge at 7:00 p.m. is included.

Friday, March 15th, 2024

Breakfast is included. Check out after breakfast. If you ordered a lunch, pick up the bag lunch before. Optionally head back to Calgary or meet in Lobby at 10:30 a.m. to arrange a ski/snowshoe on the way home.

Skiing and snowshoeing details will be finalized closer to the date and will depend on conditions and number of people interest in each activity.

Select Register Now, and then check the appropriate option as noted below

If you are a couple, you may choose a King Room or a Queen Room. These are priced for two people. Please indicate who the other person is (they must be a Club Member.) This is required for the Lodge and for meals.

If you wish to share a room (two double beds), please choose that option. This option is priced per person. If you have a person to share a room with, please indicate it and give their name when you answer the question. They will have to register and pay as well. If you do not have a roommate and wish to share please indicate it when you answer the questions and we will match you up.  

If you see an option is full, please contact the event host. We may have to adjust rooming options depending on mix of people wanting single rooms vs shared rooms as well as ensuring we have the right mix of sexes in shared rooms.

All prices include a subsidy from the Calgary Ski Club!


Registration includes your room Wednesday and Thursday nights, breakfast and dinner on Thursday at the Lodge, and breakfast on Friday morning.

You are on your own for dinner on Wednesday - you may eat at the Lodge or drive in to Field or Lake Louise. Also, lunches are not included. You may order a bagged lunch at the Lodge for Thursday and/or Friday.

Important Things to Know


Please Note:  As this is a Calgary Ski Club Sanctioned Event, Pets Are Not Allowed.

- Registration and payment in full are required. Registration will be closed on January 15th, 2024 at the latest.

- PLEASE READ THE PAID EVENTS CANCELLATION POLICY CAREFULLY:

All payments are final. Please review the charge(s) and know what you are paying.  Refunds may be considered in extenuating circumstances, if there is no cost to the Club, or if the event is full and another member fills your spot. A $25.00 fee will apply. Inform your event host, and treasurer@calgaryskiclub.org as soon as possible. Please arrange appropriate cancellation insurance.

- National Parks Pass required.

- There is a coffee maker in each room, but no kettle and no fridge.

- You can order a lunch bag for Thursday and/or  Friday at the Lodge desk. You will need to fill out the form to choose what you  want and hand it in by 8:00 p.m. the night before. The price is $21.00, taxes included. 

- The outdoor jacuzzi should (finally) be fixed by the time we go. We will confirm with the Lodge and will let you know.

- Skiing/snowshoeing locations are subject to weather and snow conditions and may change.


- The trip coordinator will forward information as appropriate via email to all registered participants.
