Located on pristine Emerald Lake in beautiful Yoho National Park, the Lodge has century old fireplaces and an oak bar salvaged from a 1890's saloon. Emerald Lake Lodge is an electronics-lite experience with WIFI only available in the main lodge, limited cell reception and no televisions in rooms. Itinerary
Wednesday Feb. 15, 2023
Self-drive to Emerald Lake Lodge - check in after 4:00 p.m. For those interested, we will meet at in the morning, travel to Le Fournil Bakery in Canmore for snacks, then stop for a ski/snowshoe, before proceeding to the Lodge to check in. Dinner on your own - at the Lodge (reservation necessary) or in Field or Lake Louise.
Thursday Feb. 16th, 2023
Your breakfast is included. We will meet in the lobby at 10:00 a.m. after breakfast, ready to go play in the snow. Pick up the included bag lunch before. Dinner in the lodge at 7:00 p.m. is included.
Friday Feb. 17th, 2023
Breakfast is included. Check out after breakfast. Optionally head back to Calgary or meet in Lobby at 10:30 a.m. to arrange a ski/snowshoe on the way home.
Skiing and snowshoeing details will be finalized closer to the date and will depend on conditions and number of people interest in each activity.

If you are a couple, you may choose a King room or a Queen room. These are priced for two people. Please indicate who the other person is (they must be a club member.) This is required for the Lodge and for meals.
If you wish to share a room (two double beds), please choose that option. This option is priced per person. If you have a person to share a room with, please indicate it and give their name when you answer the question. They will have to register and pay as well. If you do not have a room mate and wish to share please indicate it when you answer the questions and we will match you up.
If you want a room to yourself, please choose that option.
All prices include a $100.00 per person subsidy from the Calgary Ski Club!
Registration includes your room Wednesday and Thursday, dinner Thursday evening at the Lodge, breakfast and a bagged lunch on Thursday, breakfast on Friday morning. You are on your own for dinner on Wednesday - you may eat at the Lodge or drive in to Field or Lake Louise.
Important Things to Know
Proof COVID Vaccination is required prior to this trip.
AS THIS IS A CALGARY SKI CLUB SANCTIONED EVENT - NO PETS WILL BE ALLOWED.
Cancellations up to Friday December 15th are fully-refundable.
After December 15th, cancellations will be done on a case by case basis and may incur a penalty up to the full amount of the trip. This will depend on penalties charged by the accommodation. If another Calgary Ski Club Member agrees to take over your spot on the trip, there will be no cancellation fee.
National Parks Pass required.
There is a coffee maker in each room, but no kettle and no fridge.
Skiing/snowshoeing locations are subject to weather and snow conditions and may change.
The trip coordinator will forward information as appropriate via email to all registered participants. A pre-trip Zoom call or in-person meeting might be set up if necessary.
