Meeting via Skype or Zoom to lay out the hiking schedule for the summer.
To keep the meeting moving smoothly, it will be open to trip organizers and prospective organizers only.
1) If you have a hike you would like to see happen this summer, please email Lori before the meeting, and we will do our best to accommodate when planning.
2) We welcome members who have an interest in organizing hikes. We do have a process for approving new organizers. Although not required, we recommend Trip Organizers have a valid First Aid Certificate, and to encourage this, the Club will cover the cost of a basic first aid course. If you are interested in leading hikes, please email Lori. We will add you to the meeting and provide you with meeting details before the meeting.
3) We will continue to adhere to the Covid Protocols on our Covid page. These will be updated as needed, but we will err on the side of caution if in doubt. Please only agree to lead a hike if you are comfortable doing so and have read and will follow our Covid Guidelines.
4) Be aware that we may cancel hikes and other events on short notice due to changes in Covid, weather, fires or any reason that may compromise our members' safety. Trails and parking lots are expected to be very busy this year, and we ask you to take particular care.
We will also be organizing some biking and kayaking events this summer, some will be preplanned well ahead, but others will be on a more spontaneous basis due to weather and road closures.
