Lake Louise Loppet Volunteer Opportunity

The Lake Louise Loppet is Western Canada’s oldest citizens’ cross-country ski race and attracts racers from 3-87 years of age, and Olympic champions to first-timers.

Your volunteer efforts make this a great event for participants and other volunteers.

We need volunteers on race day to give out and collect bibs and ankle bracelets, record order of finish and serve refreshments, and to be course controllers and marshals.

Here are a few of the positions and times.  There will be training provided and you may be required to show up early to get final instructions and make it to your post.

Bib and Timing Bracelet collector - from 11:00 to 2:00

Course Marshals - 9:30 to 2:00

Refreshments - on the Lake and at midpoint  9:00 to 2:00

Awards Ceremony Assistant 12:00 to 12:30 and 1:30 to 2:00

We also need help prior to Race day:
Stake the Lake - Volunteer points opportunity - 2/9/2020  Feb 9th
The Famous Loppet Stomp - member volunteer points opportunity - 2/16/2020  Feb 16th
as well as some assistance prior to race day with trail work and grooming - likely weekdays.

Please register and then contact loppet@calgaryskiclub.org if you are able to fill a shift and for further information.

All these positions earn volunteer points for members of the Calgary Ski Club.
