This means our Coaches are unable to contact you in the event of a change in venue or cancellation due to weather or to advise you of meeting location. XC Skiing Lessons Lev. 1, Beginner Skating – Tuesdays Jan 7, 14, 21, 28
This program is for BEGINNER-level cross-country skate skiers, i.e. new to the skating technique. It is assumed skiers will have some background experience with the cross country skiing classic technique, or some downhill skiing experience, which facilitates learning the skate skiing technique.
This program consists of four 1.5-hour skate skiing lessons. The maximum group size is 10 persons.
• Lesson Time: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
• Locations: preferred location if snow conditions allow: Confederation Park Golf Course at 3204 Collingwood Dr NW, Calgary, AB Map to Confederation
• Based on snow conditions, another venue may be proposed: and your instructor will advise you in advance

----- LEVELS -----
This program is for BEGINNER-level cross-country skate skiers, i.e. new to the skating technique. It is assumed skiers will have some background experience with the cross country skiing classic technique, or some downhill skiing experience, which facilitates learning the skate skiing technique.
Here is some guidance regarding levels of experience:
• Level 1 - Beginner: A beginner has little to no cross-country skate ski experience AND/OR little downhill ski experience
• Level 2 - Novice: A novice has cross-country skied a few times AND/OR downhill skied many times AND/OR has much ice skating experience
• Level 3 – Intermediate: An intermediate has cross-country skied at least one winter but has not necessarily learned the Nordic skiing technique through formal instruction AND/OR has extensive winter sliding sports experience.

• Price: $130 per participant ($32.50/lesson). Includes Nordic skiing trail access fees at Confederation Park (on a donation basis this year).

Refund policy: 48-hour refund deadline before the start of the first lesson, minus an admin fee of $10. If the CSC has to cancel a lesson or program due to lack of snow or cold weather, the cancelled lesson(s) or programs will be refunded.

Once you are registered, your name will appear on the list of participants and you will receive a
confirmation email. The coach will contact you by email 2-3 days prior to the 1st lesson with
final lesson details.
----- CANCELLATION OF LESSONS -----
• CSC reserves the right to alter the schedule depending on registration levels, weather, and availability of coaches. A miminum of 4 students per program is needed for group lessons to take place.
• Lessons will be cancelled, and postponed to another week, if the temperature is colder than -20 C, including wind chill.
