This posting is simply to coordinate carpooling to the Birkie event and our group training and social activities prior to and at the Birkie.
Your choice of accommodation:
Fancy option: Radisson Hotel & Convention Center Edmonton (4520 76 Avenue, Edmonton): about $130/room/night
Cheaper option: HI Edmonton hostel: $40/bed/night
I will be staying at the Radisson Hotel Edmonton both Friday and Saturday nights of the Birkie weekend.
On Sunday morning: optional short Nordic ski tour in Camrose or the Edmonton river valley before returning to Calgary in the late afternoon.
Carpooling from Calgary to be arranged among participants, with a suggested departure at 2:30 pm so that we arrive by 7 pm at the Nordic Fair (closes at 8 pm) to pick-up the race package.
