Chester Lake is without question the most popular snowshoeing destination in Kananaskis. The lake is reached via a good snowshoe trail and is surrounded by spectacular mountains.
Elevation Gain: 310 Meters.
Distance: 8 Kilometers Round Trip.
Duration: Three to five hours.
Difficulty: Moderate to Intermediate.

Meeting Time and Place: Please arrive no later than 7:45 a.m., in the northeast corner of the Edworthy Parking Lot, to arrange carpooling as we will be departing at 8:00 a.m. sharp.
Driving Distance: Approximately 1 Hour and 50 Minutes / 139 Kilometers one way. The Club suggests a compensation of $0.06 cents per kilometer both ways for the driver(s) of the carpools. (Approximately $15.00 to $18.00).
Notice of Cancellation: The trip leaders will contact registered participants by telephone or by email if the trip is cancelled or postponed. Participants are asked to contact the trip leader if they have a change of plans.
