Have fun, stay in shape, get out with friends and family! Cross-country skiing is a sport that all ages and abilities can take part in. The Calgary Ski Club invites you, your family and friends to get out and enjoy our cross-country skiing programs this winter. Don’t forget, cross-country skiing is one of the most cost-effective winter sports – there are no expensive lift tickets!..
It’s never too early or too late to learn how to cross-country ski or to improve your technique. Our Club offers lessons at all levels, including a Learn Ski program for adults and a Jackrabbit program for children
Jackrabbits (Children's Lessons)
We teach Cross Country Canada’s Jackrabbits program to children ages 4 to 12. A team of enthusiastic, certified coaches will encourage the learning of basic skiing fundamentals for classic skiing. Each skier receives an awards booklet and stickers to track their progress. We have a year end party. It’s a fun, family environment.
Our popular adults' cross country ski lessons programs, which include classic technique and skate skiing series, are taught by our CANSI qualified instructors. The classic technique programs are grouped for beginners, novices, and intermediates. The skate skiing program requires participants to have some classic technique experience.
Day Trips and Extended Trips
CSC runs cross-country and snowshoe day trips on the weekends . In conjunction with our downhill program, the Club also arranges exciting weekend extended trips to more distant destinations including amazing ski resorts in Alberta, British Columbia and the Western United States.
