Calgary Ski Club's Lake Louise Loppet is Western Canada’s oldest cross-country ski race and attracts both first time racers to Olympic champions.  Participants range in age from 3 to 87.

20 Kilometer Racers will ski the Lower Telemark Trail Twice, then back to the Lake to finish.

 

12 Kilometer Racers will leave the Lake by the Boathouse Ramp and ski the Fairview Loop Trail then back to the Lake to finish.

10 Kilometer Sit-Ski Racers will leave the Lake by the Boathouse Ramp and ski Tramline, Lake Moraine Road and return on Lake Moraine Road and Tramline and back to the Lake to finish. 

4 Kilometer Sit-Ski Racers will stay on the Lake and go twice around the 2 Kilometer route.

Prior to race day, get some exercise on Lake Louise by improving your snowshoes skills to assist at the following link:  Stake the Lake for the Lake Louise Loppet - 2023 February 12.  

Or a couple of weeks later, again using your snowshoes, since you have mastered your skills, at the following link:  The Annual Lake Louise Loppet Stomp - 2023 February 26.

Cancellation Policy:

 

For Catering Purposes, if a volunteer cancels prior to Monday, February 28th, you will be responsible for the cost of lunch. 

 

For Hotel Accommodations, If a volunteer cancels less than 72 hours prior to Sunday, March 5th, you will be responsible for the cost of the hotel room.. 

 

Disclaimer:

 

As this is a sanctioned Calgary Ski Club Event, please be aware that Pets Are Not Allowed.  If you bring your pet and leave it in the vehicle while volunteering, you will be asked to leave the event.

Cancellation Policy:
Please read carefully

It is your responsibility to obtain appropriate cancellation and medical insurance.

Refunds will be paid in CSC points only.

To cancel your registration for an event:

a) Before the cancellation cutoff date, please log in to the website and use the "Cancel Registration" button on the event. If it is a paid event, you will be refunded in CSC points.

b) After the cancellation cutoff date, please notify the Event Host. A refund may be provided using CSC points but only if the event is full and someone fills your spot.

Free Events
Cancellation, for a scheduled event that does not involve payment, should be made as above. If you need to cancel at the last-minute, contact the host via text or email. If you are running late, please notify the host as soon as safely possible. Please do not be a no-show. This means people may be waiting unnecessarily for you and may mean other members may not be able to attend when there are limited spots. No-shows may be banned from future events.
