This is a fun, moderate efforty half day, mid-week outing that is off the beaten track, but still in Calgary. It is easy to moderate in difficulty, and will go ahead with deep snow or not! If snow is lacking, please bring your ice grips for the bottoms of your boots and we'll head out to enjoy the incredible nature and and around Calgary.
The plan is to ENJOY A SERENE OFF-PATH TREK THROUGH A BEAUTIFUL, LOCAL WILDERNESS AREA FULL OF BIRDS, WILDLIFE AND STUNNING VINGETTES OF NATURE.
The current COVID 19 related rules apply to this outing and are subject to update should local restrictions change:
Events are subject to cancellation or change on short notice due to changes in government restrictions.
No carpooling.
No food / snack sharing.
Bring your own wipes and hand sanitizer and a mask.
Social distancing of AT LEAST SIX FEET - we will be snow shoeing single file.
Washrooms are not available - please be prepared to pack out what you bring in, such as toilet paper, etc.
Please make yourself aware of the risks in participating in this sort of event and decide accordingly.
Don`t forget the usual items; proper clothing, water, food, equipment and first aid kit.
Trip participants are asked to provide their cell contact information and emergency contact information to the trip coordinator, prior to, due to the 'meet at trail head' requirement.
Please do not sign up or attend if you are experiencing any flu like, cold, or Covid19 symptoms.
