Safe Sport

The Calgary Ski Club is committed to ensuring a safe inclusive environment, free from abuse, harassment or discrimination for all members, program participants, volunteers, officials and staff.

Safe Sport is an essential aspect of any sports program, as it ensures that members, athletes, coaches, and other stakeholders can participate in sports in a safe and positive environment. It also helps to protect the integrity of sports by promoting fairness, respect, and sportsmanship among all participants.

To learn more, you may read our policies below, or refer to the Office of the Sport Integrity Commissioner which serves as the central hub for complaints. It operates independently to administer complaints about alleged violations of the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS) involving individual UCCMS participants of organizations that have signed onto OSIC.

The Canadian Sports Helpline is an anonymous, confidential and independent service that offers help to victims or witnesses of harassment, abuse or discrimination. The service allows callers to share and validate their concerns, obtain advice on required next steps, and be referred to other resources for follow up. The Canadian Sport Helpline is available by toll-free phone line, email, text or live chat, in French and English.
