Please only sign up if you can ski at a 6 kilometer per hour pace (including rests).
There is no doubt that Elk Pass on the Great Divide is the most popular destination in the park. It isn’t the environs of the pass or the views, which attract, but rather the character of the trail itself coupled with consistently excellent snow conditions, which draws skiers back to Elk Pass long after the snow has melted from low down on the trail.
• Events are subject to cancellation or change on short notice due to inclement weather or fires.
• Carpooling – Use your own discretion and what you are comfortable with. Must be double vaccinated.
• Washrooms may not be available - please be prepared to pack out what you bring in, such as
Toilet paper, etc.
• Please make yourself aware of the risks in participating in this sort of event and decide accordingly.
• Don`t forget the usual items; bear spray, proper clothing, water, food, equipment and first aid kit.
• Trip participants are asked to provide their cell contact information and emergency contact information to the trip coordinator, prior to the event.
• Please do not sign up if you are experiencing any flu like, cold, or Covid19 symptoms.
Distance: Boulton Bridge to Elk Pass – 8.5 Kms One Way
Total Distance – 17 Kms / Approximately 3 hours
Elevation Gain: 450 Meters / 1476 Feet
Maximum Elevation: 1975 Meters / 6480 Feet
Travel Distance: 142.5 Kilometers One Way (1 Hour 45 Minutes approx.)
Difficulty Level: Difficult
Rendezvous Point: North Edworthy Park, northeast corner. Please arrive 15 minutes before to check in and that a vehicle convey can be arranged, as we will be leaving at 9:00 a.m. sharp.
Pet Policy: Pets Will Not Be Allowed.
Please Note: A minimum of 4 members are required for the scheduled event to go ahead.
Guest Policy: The Club is currently discouraging guests of a member, from outside the Club, attending an event at this time.
