Description: 
  A great starter hike, with a little bit of exercise.


•  Events are subject to cancellation or change on short notice due to changes in government   

   restrictions.

•  Carpooling:  Use at your own discretion and what you are comfortable with.

•  No food / snack sharing.

•  Bring your own wipes and hand sanitizer and a mask.

•  Social distancing and any other rules set out by authorities must be followed. Please respect

   others.

•  Washrooms may not be available - please be prepared to pack out what you bring in, such as

   Toilet paper, etc.

•  Please make yourself aware of the risks in participating in this sort of event and decide

   accordingly.

•  Don`t forget the usual items; bear spray, proper clothing, water, food, equipment and first aid kit.

•  Trip participants are asked to provide their cell contact information and emergency contact

    information to the trip coordinator, prior to, due to the 'meet at trail head' requirement.

•  Please do not sign up if you are experiencing any flu like, cold, or Covid19 symptoms.

      7.8 Kilometers Loop

Height Gain:             200 Meters / 624 Feet

Travel Distance:       95 Kilometers One Way / 1 Hour and 15 Minutes

Difficulty Level:        Easy to Moderate


Rendezvous Point:
  North Edworthy Park Parking Lot, just off Shaganappi Trail and Bowness Road N.W.  Please arrive 15 minutes early so carpooling arrangements can be made as we will be leaving at 8:00 a.m. sharp.

A minimum of 4 members are required for the event to go ahead as scheduled.

Hazard:                  This area is subject to Bears!  Bring up-to-date bear spray and have it available - not in the pack!

Policy on Pets:       As this trail is popular and busy, pets will not be allowed.

Guest Policy:
  The Club is currently discouraging guests of a member attending an event at this time due to the pandemic situation and potential liability issues.  Once the government has lifted and has relaxed restrictions, guests are more than welcome to attend two events, as per the Calgary Ski Club Policy prior to Covid-19.

It is your responsibility to obtain appropriate cancellation and medical insurance.

Refunds will be paid in CSC points only.

To cancel your registration for an event:

a) Before the cancellation cutoff date, please log in to the website and use the "Cancel Registration" button on the event. If it is a paid event, you will be refunded in CSC points.

b) After the cancellation cutoff date, please notify the Event Host. A refund may be provided using CSC points but only if the event is full and someone fills your spot.

Cancellation, for a scheduled event that does not involve payment, should be made as above. If you need to cancel at the last-minute, contact the host via text or email. If you are running late, please notify the host as soon as safely possible. Please do not be a no-show. This means people may be waiting unnecessarily for you and may mean other members may not be able to attend when there are limited spots. No-shows may be banned from future events.
