
Description: The Foran Grade Ridge is an easy favorite half day walk for novices and hikers alike. The trail crosses into a very large meadow with views of Long Prairie Ridge rising above the trees. We will continue on to the forested eastern aspect of Foran Grade Ridge, which soon reaches an easy uphill windings in the trees. Once we have reached the crest there many points allowing stunning views of the Sheep River winding past Nash Meadow into the heart of the mountains.

Toilet paper, etc.
• Please make yourself aware of the risks in participating in this sort of event and decide
accordingly.
• Don`t forget the usual items; bear spray, proper clothing, water, food, equipment and first aid kit.
• Trip participants are asked to provide their cell contact information and emergency contact
information to the trip coordinator, prior to, due to the 'meet at trail head' requirement.
• Please do not sign up if you are experiencing any flu like, cold, or Covid19 symptoms.

High Point: 1685 Meters / 5,530 Feet
Travel Distance: 95 Kilometers One Way / 1 Hour and 15 Minutes
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate
Rendezvous Point: Heritage Park Gravel Parking Lot, just below the Big Brown H. Please arrive between 7:45 a.m. and 7:59 a.m., so a vehicle convey can be arranged, as we will be leaving at 8:00 a.m. sharp.

Please Note: A minimum of 4 members are required for the event to go ahead as scheduled.
Policy on Pets: As this trail is popular and busy, pets will not be allowed.
Guest Policy: The Club is currently discouraging guests of a member attending an event at this time due to the pandemic situation and potential liability issues. Once the government has lifted and has relaxed restrictions, guests are more than welcome to attend two events, as per the Calgary Ski Club Policy prior to Covid-19.
