Cycle Griffith Wood Park to Broadcast Hill

13 Calgary Ski Club cyclists met at Griffith Woods Park and completed a warmup ride to the west end of the park and back. Griffith Woods Park is a primarily natural environment park that lies between the banks of the Elbow River and the residential area of Discovery Ridge. It's a jewel in Calgary’s Park system with so many natural springs, vegetation, and wildlife.

The group then proceeded north through the community of Sienna Hills, then northwest through the connected pathways up to Signal Hill, stopping for a photo op at Battalion Park. From there we huffed and puffed on the bicycle trail to the residential community of Coach Hill, again cycling through the connected pathways with a final push to the top of Broadcast Hill, the home of CTV Calgary where we stopped for another photo op and water break. We were also rewarded with views of the city that we normally don’t see.

Bob Wilson, our group leader, guided the group back to our starting point crossing over to 69th Street SW
