Membership Benefits

Easy Online Registration  and Payments

  • To become a member of the Calgary Ski Club, register online here
  • A CSC guest must bring a Guest Waiver filled out and signed and pass it to the trip leader at the meeting point.  Guests are permitted to 'try us out' on 2 day trips or 1 extended trip.
  •  to register for a Calgary Ski Club event go to CSC Meet Up ( Note: members need to have Meet Up account)
  • We use PayPal as our provider for online payments.  You can also register through our Office Administrator at (403) 282-4122 or office@calgaryskiclub.org

Rolling Membership: Our memberships are valid for 12 months from the day you register and pay on our website.

Defined Club Structure: We are a 'not for profit' volunteer organisation adhering to sound corporate governance polices.  Our Office Administrator is available during regular business hours on a part basis - Monday to Thursday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm to assist with registration, refunds and questions, and with managing some events.

Great Prices for Programs and Trips: Using our relationships with major operators in the ski industry and the leverage of group rates, CSC provides tremendous value for our programs and trips to fit the time and budget you have available.  All trips are planned and led by competent volunteers.  All you have to do is pay, pack and participate.

Economical: CSC subsidises  a bus for several  day and most extended trips .  Our members also carpool for day trips that do not include bus service - saving you wear and tear on your vehicle and fuel expense.

A Culture of Safety: All members are covered by a comprehensive insurance plan as part of their membership, and with all our events, we keep the safety of our members paramount.  Our cross-country coaches are all CANSI trained and certified. Our cross country, snowshoe,hiking and cycling  event leaders are trained and our downhill trip leaders adhere to procedures intent on keeping everyone safe, both on the hill and off.  We also ensure an emergency contact person is available at all times, should any accidents or injuries occur.

Improve your skills: Many members are looking to improve their skills or techniques.  We offer an extensive training and development program for cross country skiers including children's lessons thorough the Jackrabbits program, and various levels of adult lessons.  We do not offer downhill ski lessons.

A Recreational Club: Our Club is solely focused on recreational activities for all levels and abilities.  We're not a racing club.  With the CSC, you can meet other outdoor enthusiasts who are motivated to have fun get in or stay in shape and maintain a healthy lifestyle.  The common bonds we all share are fellowship and a passion for the outdoors.

Social Events: Various social events are planned through the year to encourage all our members, including he kids, to get together in a social setting.  Note: Some events are adult appropriate one (e.g. Wing Nights)

A Year-Round Club: Enjoy a great day outdoors with great company, even when the snow has gone for the season,  We offer numerous post snow season activities all through he summer. We organise hikes, cycling and other special events to keep you active all year round.

Special Events: As we’re a volunteer run organisation; your involvement goes a long way toward helping continue to provide the benefits we offer.  All volunteer hours are rewarded with 'CSC Points' which can be used to pay or events and programs offered by the Club, as well as related courses sanctioned by us.  We also hold an Annual Volunteer Appreciation Night in September at which the Club hosts a dinner with beverages to thank all those who have made our programs possible!
